Día

1
Day 1: Arrival in Cusco – Afternoon City Tour
  • 08:00 – 11:30 a.m. – Arrival at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco. Reception by our professional representative, assistance with luggage, and private transfer to your selected hotel. During the ride, receive a brief introduction to Cusco, altitude tips, and details of your itinerary.

Morning Free (until 1:00 p.m.) – Time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude (3,399 m / 11,152 ft). We recommend light activity, hydration, and coca tea to help with adaptation.

  • 01:30 p.m. – Pick-up from your hotel for a comprehensive guided city tour.
  • 01:45 p.m. – 02:20 p.m. – Visit the Cusco Cathedral, famous for its colonial art, baroque architecture, and religious relics.

  • 02:30 p.m. – 03:10 p.m. – Explore the Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), the most important Inca temple, later transformed into the Santo Domingo convent.

  • 03:30 p.m. – 04:10 p.m. – Discover Sacsayhuamán, an imposing Inca ceremonial fortress with massive stone walls and panoramic city views.

  • 04:20 p.m. – 04:50 p.m. – Stop at Qenqo, a ceremonial site with carved rocks, tunnels, and ritual altars.

  • 05:00 p.m. – 05:20 p.m. – Visit Puka Pukara (“Red Fortress”), a military outpost and resting place for travelers in Inca times.
  • 05:30 p.m. – 05:50 p.m. – End the tour at Tambomachay, known as the “Inca Baths,” dedicated to water worship.

Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas – Train to Aguas Calientes

  • 07:00 a.m. – Pick-up from your hotel and departure towards Pisac, passing through picturesque Andean villages.
  • 08:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Guided tour of the Pisac archaeological site, a ceremonial and agricultural center known for its terraces, temples, and panoramic views of the valley.
  • 10:10 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. – Visit the Pisac handicraft market, where local artisans offer textiles, ceramics, silver jewelry, and other handmade products.
  • 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Scenic drive along the Sacred Valley, passing traditional communities and agricultural fields.
  • 12:30 p.m. – 01:30 p.m. – Buffet lunch in Urubamba, featuring Peruvian and Andean cuisine.
  • 01:40 p.m. – 02:50 p.m. – Visit to the Ollantaytambo fortress, an impressive Inca military, agricultural, and religious complex built with massive stone blocks.
  • 03:00 p.m. – Transfer to Ollantaytambo train station for the journey to Aguas Calientes.

Day 3: Machu Picchu Full Day – Return to Cusco

  • 05:30 a.m. – Board the CONSETTUR bus for a 25-minute ascent to the entrance of Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
  • 06:00 a.m. – 09:00 a.m. – Guided tour of the Inca citadel, exploring its most iconic areas:
      • The Temple of the Sun
      • The Main Plaza
      • The Temple of the Three Windows
      • Agricultural and urban terraces
      • Ceremonial fountains and sacred enclosures

Your professional guide will share the history, engineering, and mysteries surrounding this extraordinary archaeological site.

  • 09:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. – Free time to explore at your own pace, take photographs, or hike to optional viewpoints such as the Inca Bridge or the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), depending on your energy and entry permits.
  • 11:30 a.m. – Descent by bus back to Aguas Calientes.
  • 12:00 p.m. – 02:00 p.m. – Free time for lunch in Aguas Calientes (not included) and last visits to local artisan shops.
  • 02:30 p.m. – Board the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, enjoying the scenic journey along the Urubamba River.
  • 04:00 p.m. – Arrival in Ollantaytambo and transfer by private transport to Cusco.

Day 4: Humantay Lagoon Adventure

  • 05:00 a.m. – Departure from Cusco in private transport towards Soraypampa, passing through the towns of Mollepata and Challacancha while enjoying stunning views of the Apurímac Valley.
  • 07:30 a.m. – Brief stop in Mollepata for last-minute supplies, snacks, or coffee (not included).
  • 09:00 a.m. – Arrival at Soraypampa (3,900 m / 12,795 ft), the starting point of the hike. Your guide will provide a short briefing about the route, altitude, and safety recommendations.
  • 09:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.Hike to Humantay Lagoon (approx. 1.5 hours), following a steep but scenic trail with panoramic views of the Salkantay and Humantay mountains.
  • 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Arrival at Humantay Lagoon (4,200 m / 13,780 ft). Free time to take photographs, explore the surroundings, and enjoy the tranquility of this turquoise glacial lake framed by snow-capped peaks. Your guide will share the history, legends, and significance of the lagoon in Andean culture.
  • 12:00 p.m. – 01:15 p.m. – Return trek down to Soraypampa.
  • 01:15 p.m. – Board the transport back to Cusco.
  • 03:00 p.m. – 03:30 p.m. – Lunch en route in a local restaurant (included or not, depending on your service plan).
  • 05:00 p.m. – 06:00 p.m. – Arrival in Cusco and transfer to your hotel.

Day 5: Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)
  • 04:00 a.m. – Very early breakfast at the hotel or box breakfast provided for the trip.
  • 04:30 a.m. – Departure from Cusco in private transport towards Cusipata, passing through picturesque Andean villages and valleys.
  • 06:30 a.m. – Short stop in Cusipata for a light breakfast or coffee break, and to prepare for the hike.
  • 07:30 a.m. – Continue the journey to Phullawasipata (4,626 m / 15,177 ft), the starting point of the trek. Your guide will give a briefing about the trail, altitude precautions, and local wildlife.
  • 08:00 a.m. – 09:30 a.m.Hike to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). The 1.5–2 hour ascent follows a gradual uphill path with panoramic views of snow-capped mountains, alpacas, and llamas grazing freely.
  • 09:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. – Arrival at the summit viewpoint (5,036 m / 16,522 ft). Free time to admire the vibrant mineral colors of the mountain, take photographs, and appreciate the surrounding peaks such as Ausangate, the highest mountain in Cusco.
  • 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Descent back to Phullawasipata.
  • 12:00 p.m. – 02:00 p.m. – Return drive to Cusipata for a well-deserved buffet lunch in a local restaurant.
  • 02:00 p.m. – 05:00 p.m. – Journey back to Cusco.

Day 6: Transfer Out
  • 07:00 a.m. – 09:00 a.m. – Breakfast at the hotel (schedule may vary depending on your flight departure time).

At the coordinated time – Private transfer from your hotel to Cusco’s Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport. Your guide/driver will assist you with your luggage and provide final travel recommendations before your departure.
