Itinerary
Día
1:00 p.m. – Pick-up from the hotel in Cusco and start of the tour.
1:15 p.m. – Cusco Cathedral: We begin our visit at the impressive Cusco Cathedral, a true jewel of colonial religious art. Here you’ll explore its chapels, admire gold and silver altars, and view important paintings from the Cusco School of Art.
2:00 p.m. – Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha): Transfer to Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun. This was the main Inca temple dedicated to the sun god. You’ll observe the fine stone architecture and the remains of inner temples once dedicated to the moon, stars, and other deities.
2:45 p.m. – Sacsayhuamán: We head to the outskirts of Cusco to visit the ceremonial fortress of Sacsayhuamán. Enjoy a walk among enormous, perfectly carved and fitted stones, and take in a spectacular panoramic view of the city.
3:45 p.m. – Qenqo: We continue to the archaeological complex of Qenqo, an ancient ceremonial site used by the Incas. You’ll walk through underground galleries, see altars carved into the rock, and explore unique ritual spaces.
4:15 p.m. – Puca Pucara: We arrive at Puca Pucara, an archaeological site that served as a military and administrative checkpoint, featuring terraces and reddish stone walls.
4:45 p.m. – Tambomachay: Our final stop is Tambomachay, known as the Inca Baths. Here you’ll observe water channels and ceremonial fountains, surrounded by a peaceful natural environment.
5:30 p.m. – Return to Cusco.
6:00 – 6:30 p.m. – Arrival at the hotel and end of the tour.
