Día
1
Humantay Lake
Start: 04:30 a.m. – Hotel pick-up
- 04:30 a.m.: Departure from Cusco in a tourist vehicle toward the district of Mollepata. During the journey, you'll enjoy Andean landscapes full of mountains, green valleys, and traditional rural villages. The trip takes approximately 2.5 hours.
- 07:30 a.m.: Arrival in Mollepata and breakfast at a local restaurant. Here, you'll enjoy a comforting Andean breakfast to get ready for the hike.
- 08:30 a.m.: Continue by vehicle to the community of Soraypampa (3,900 m / 12,795 ft), the starting point of the trek. Along the way, you’ll witness the stunning scenery surrounding the Salkantay snow-capped mountain.
- 09:00 a.m.: Begin the hike to Humantay Lake. The trail is of moderate to challenging difficulty and takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Along the ascent, you’ll have several stops to rest, hydrate, and take photos of the spectacular natural environment.
- 10:30 a.m.: Arrival at the breathtaking Humantay Lake. You'll have free time to admire the lake’s stunning turquoise waters surrounded by snow-capped peaks, relax, and take photographs.
- 11:30 a.m.: Begin the descent back to Soraypampa along the same trail, enjoying the scenery from a new perspective.
- 1:00 p.m.: Return to Mollepata for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant—perfect for recharging after the trek.
- 2:00 p.m.: Return trip to Cusco in a tourist vehicle.
- 5:30 p.m.: Arrival in Cusco and transfer to your hotel.
